Basically a full VB is just a stock core Valve Body that has had a shift kit put into it. So of the companies custom tailor the shift kits they put into it, and other just install a trans-go shift kit. I would stay away from those that just install a trans-go shift kit as they are just a one size fits all type of application, and for our trucks that just doesn't cut it.

I know that when a customer buys a shift kit from a vendor they will generally talk him through the little mods needed to be made to the VB core in order to give the exact results you are needing to make it perfect.

 

that all makes sence, no matter if its an aftermarket VB, it was someone old body core. from what ya'll are saying, i'll have the same results from a shift kit as i will with a $700 body, i'll just have to spend time tweaking it. i think i'll just say eff it and throw a shift kit in it

 

That's what I'm saying, save the money if you can do your own work. If you get a DTT kit through any DTT dealer, we will walk you through any question during the build, even on weekends or evenings if necessary.
