3rd gen CAT delete parts
hey, i recently did a CAT delete on my truck (04.5 auto) and i am very happy with it! if anyone is interested, i have a parts list (sorry no numbers)
4 U clamps the size of your exhaust
about a 3.5ft piece of pipe (size of exhaust)
a OD to OD adapter (important, if you dont have this, it WILL not work) and make sure it is the size of your stock exhaust
most likely when you go under the truck, your current exhaust clamps will be rusted and nasty. only 1 out of 4 came off easily. I had to use a sawzall and cut em off. once you have gotten all clamps off, you can proceed to removing the CAT . there may be a cross member in place, so you have to take your whole tailpipe off. take it out of the rubber hanger near the tip
i will post the rest later

ok the later part
once the tailpipe is removed, you can proceed to taking the clamps off the front of the cat. once done, throw cat against wall. your anger will release. simply put your new clamps in place, and the adapter, torque things down, and MAKE SURE the tailpipe is as FAR as can be in the rubber grommet. mine never made it far, so it shakes and rattles like no other
