Edge Comp Smoke?
CC, you don't really need the DRAG update. I'm not telling you not to do it but knowing a bit more about your situation I'd suggest not spending that money. Also, which FASS do you have because I'm thinking it should be higher than what you are showing on your pressure gauge. I would think your number is not too bad under WOT but otherwise it could be better with the FASS. Just my 2 cents.
if you were only showing 2psi before the fass your pump could be weak and on it's last leg also. You show good pressure now but the damage may have already been done to weaken it just enough. JMO
I'm feeling that it may be an VP-44 issue as well! The drag version of the comp dose make alot more usable power which at higher RPMS , Some folks are really happy with it, and in some cases people dont really need it! If injectors or a turbo is desired in the future, It would be a great addition , and now would be the time to do it if you send the box off! It's always a better option to have the box checked if your not seeing any other VP-44 Symptoms! Also, The Wire tap is a possibility, Make sure youve got a good connection! If I can help diagnose , Give me a call! I'm here till about 5 or 6 pm!

I have the FASS 150/95 GPH system. The pressure springs are pre set @ approx. 14 PSI because thats the optimum pressure for the VP. Under WOT i can pull it down to about 10 then it jumps back up to about 12. During the summer months it never pulled below 12 even at WOT.
Really? Every 95 GPH system I have ever installed was higher than that. The 150 GPH units are about 17 at idle (FYI).
Going down to 10 at WOT is not that great - Sure it is better than DC specification but it isn't doing your VP any favours on those long hard runs.

it comes right back up to 12, it only initially dips down for like 1 sec or not less.
I asked DAN AT DPP about the pressure as well and they have the springs set at 14 PSI now. I can get a higher pressure spring if i want, but i dont feel i need it

We recommend changing every 5,000 to 10,000 miles depending on fuel quality! Make sure you get fuel at a service station or truck stop which stays pretty busy! Also make sure you run additives!
