Default 2001 and a smarty ?

Ok guys heres the truck

2001 QCSB 4x4 A/T with stright pipe exaust....other then that and the lift/tires its all stock

i have a new VP and DDRP and i also have a fuel pressure gage....

what kind of performance would i get out of this tunner ? and with my A/T tranny

will it hold up on the higher settings that the smarty has?

I have looked around and cant seem to find any numbers (Horse power/tourq) as to what

each setting would get

thanks for the help

The Smarty will add about 60hp, which is enough to take out a stock transmission. Depending on the shape of the transmission and your driving habits will determine the transmissions longevity.

I'd stick with an Edge Comp or Edge Juice. U will also need to upgrade your lift pump.

The Smarty removes most of the TQ Management which helps off the line. But can cause issues with a stock trans and converter.

I wouldnt run over 3 on stock tranny if i had to do it again. I was running on 6 with added torque for about a month and smoked the band for 2nd gear, not 100% that it was the smarty but it probably didnt help. I am getting right at 20 mpg on lvl 5 and similar mods. I dont drive my truck hard other than the occasional 50-65mph jump.
