if i put a performance filter on
if i put a performance air filter on my 1999 cummins with just the stock turbo tube will this just pull in hot air from the motor or will i be fine. and would it be easy to make my own intake box.

i ran the performance filter for a day and the turbo whistle sounded like it was riding shot gun next to me so i took it off and put stock back on.. is it pretty easy to fab a heat sheild up
