Default AirDog question

Is the air dog supposed to turn on every time u turn the key or bump the starter? My air dog has gave a priming charge the last 10 times i turned the key and when i bump the starter it doesnt run either... but when i crank the truck it idles at 16 psi.... whats that all about?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

sorry what i meant to say is that it doesnt always turn on when i turn the key or when i bump the starter

im wondering if your relay is bad, check the one in your harness and check the factory one inside the fuse box under the hood. Also check the fuse as well

thanx ill go check on all of that.......when i first put it on everything i turned the key for the wait to start light i hard it give a lil charge....then when ud bump the starter it would run for about 15 seconds.....yesterday it quit doing both......but when the truck starts the fuel pressure seems to be fine

so i just went look over everything.... seems ok the relay on the air dog harness is brand new the fuse isnt burnt and im not sure what im lookin for in the fuse box of the truck but when the truck is running the air dog is running but nothing up until that point... is this normal or should i take it somewhere to have it looked at?

Hmm, im wanting to say there is a factory fuel pressure sensor that the airdog harness plugs into,im drawing a blank as to how it works right now but I know its what trips the pump on and off unless the truck is running. Ill do some digging and see what i can come up with.

I've read some places that having too much pressure before the truck starts will cause a hard start. People who've had this problem have set their pumps to only run when the engine is running.

Not sure how much truth there is to that statement.

Mine runs for one or two seconds when I first turn the key on.
If I bump the starter, it runs for 25-30 sec.
