Wasnt snapping.
Then please do not use caps in they way you did. I am only trying to help. I understand that at this point in time you are not looking for a high performance chip, but just a boost for towing. The Comp can accomplish this, but also has the potential for more if you ever want it. Things may change in future, and not even yourself can argue against that. I'd rather see some one spend a few extra buck once, than have to spend almost double in the future. Think about it please.

Default Pulling heavy

We pull a 48' gooseneck race trailer (its a heavy bastard) loaded to the gills with race **** with our 1-ton and we love the COMP box and 65hp sticks, you just cant beat having that fuel ready when you are pulling a big hill.

As long as we never go under 60mph we stay in OD and the egt's never get over 1150 on any interstate hill.

Not meaning to hyjack the thread, just saying more power isnt always bad.

No its doesnt a comp will be great for what you need as Raw said. The second setting would be your 60HP tow setting. And then you could run it on 3 as a daily drive tune. Injectors would help it out as well. I used to haul hay and tractors with with my juice and 75HP injectors. And most of the time I had 15,000 to 18,000 on my 35 gooseneck. So spend the extra 100 bucks for the comp over the EZ and you wont regret it

Default Auto or stick?

If this is a stock automatic truck just keep the power level at 3 or under to tow, we towed with the stock tranny for a few years on level 5 but it did die eventually.

The stock torque converter is the weak link and will slip and kill the tranny if you overpower it to much.

Now with a built tranny/converter its level 5 all the time, all the way

having a little backup power if you ever need it could be very handy.
