HT3B vs s400 twins

Stock turbo over anything is very restrictive. Even with a huge external gate, there's only so much you can do with this setup.
I would not go bigger than a 100HP injector with an adjustable box like a Comp or Juice. You will be at the limits of flow for drive pressures.
Skip the K31. It's better suited to a 64 sized top charger. Same thing with the GT4202. I prefer the S400 setup as the piping is cleaner.

IMO,
not the best setup to be sure. Runs out of breath very early and on many trucks doing a tough pull, it's right in the RPM range that it's needed most. Most commonly, the 62 begins to over-compound and EGTs skyrocket.
This is not always the case. For small injector trucks, it works fine. But if they just want a really good solid towing set, it's hard to beat BD's twins to 450-500HP.
Again, JMO.

This is my daily driver so I am not looking to get any more than 400hp out of my truck. What I would like to do is lower my current EGTs on a good grade and have a little more power out my truck while pulling a heavy load. I am in the Military and living in Southern California so I need to keep my upgrade in the affordable section. I do not have the ability to afford the $4k plus for the BD twins and the parts required to use them anytime in the next year or so. What would you suggest with my limits in place?

I would say a great way to lower your current egt's is to get a better set of injectors. Is your dyno numbers with the jammers? If so you might have an issue there. I made 319 with my edge juice with attitude, and 354 with a set of industrial 24v injectors. With those injectors my egt's were much lower and drove well. A quality set of injectors goes a long way.

Yes my number were with the current setup on my signature to include the jammers. My next investment is a set of injectors. I just need to make a decision on what size I need to run a set of twins. I don't want to have to buy them twice.

This setup and the BD twins are way out of my current price range. I apprecate that you two are try to get me the best possible setup. Please remember I still have to get head studs and injectors to go along with twins.
