steering box
I got my new bd track bar put on and still have slack. Got my wife to wiggle the wheel and heard my steering box clunking a little bit and saw the arm wiggling. Will the box brace fix my problem or do i need to rebuild the box and get a brace to keep the newly built one from wearing out.

I have done some searrching and from what I found it is a pretty complicated to rebuild the box and the seals and bearings are hard to come by. 195.00 for a reman box is the best price i found so far. that plus a brace plus the bd track bar i just installed will put me up to 800.00 buckaroos. hope my wife doesnt see this.

Got the new box on. Man what a difference. Still a little play in the wheel but what the hell. It is a dodge. If I got all the play out it might die. I guess I will look into a brace now. Thanks for the help guys.

Forget that last post. My new box came with lots of slack so I adjusted that out. I have also noticed that it takes twice as much effort to turn to the right. Also the big cup on the front of the box moves in and out a little as the wheel is worked back and forth. I am at a bit of a loss here.
