there are companies that make a pumps that are warrantied with tap of the pump wire.

 

Blue Chip will warranty it for 1 yr. But like said before it's a coin toss.

 

if i have good fuel pressure should it matter if i tap the pump?

 

If your vp is borderline, getting ready to fail, tapping the wire will push it over the edge! You can buy the edge comp and not tap the wire. The Comp will work on the lower settings just not 4&5 without tapping the pump.

 

Look you can turn it off by a press of a button.Load a smarty in and leave the comp off and enjoy the power.

 

I still have my Drag Comp and wouldn't get rid of it but the plan is to keep it without the tapped wire and go with a little bigger injectors to compensate a little.
