Tapping pump?
Hello i was wondering if tapping the vp44s pump is hard on it? Im wanting tio get a edg drag comp but i dontknow if i want ot tap my pump or not?

According to Rip at Source Automotive, it is very hard on the pump. It makes sense though. If you normally walk everywhere you go, start running instead. Now start sprinting instead. See how much more fatigued you get? Same concept. That said, it wakes these trucks up 10x!

Tap the Pump

will it be ok

Will the hot chick have STD's? Flip a coin :)
Weigh your options, do what your gonna do, and hope for the best.... But plan for the worst |
There seems to be a lot of nonsense about chicks above this post. There are hundreds, probably THOUSANDS of VP44's tapped out there with no adverse effects. I agree with Luke and say go for it. In my opinion don't tap the external wires, use a stealth plate instead. :tu:

Both my trucks have been taped for 8 years same vp44 pumps.Just make sure you have a good LP.Stealth plate all the way.:tu:

ez to do, just be careful if tis your first time don't cut the wire

I've tapped my last 3 pumps now and won't do another, I'm tired of buyin new VP44's and these weren't cheap pumps either.
I've used both the stealth plate and the Scotchlock. Yes it is a flip of the coin, I can show examples on both sides of the fence. If you can afford to replace the pumps then go for it and if you can't then think hard about it. |
yeah im thinking hard if i just want to get a 65 hp chip like the quad xzt or get the drag comp and tapp my pump im not for sure what to do?
