I see, is it neccasary to have the filter? I don't mind spending extra money on the air dog if might save my motor in the long run.

The airdog compared to the fass is night and day. Can't hear my airdog on my 07 with it idling but my fass pump on the 97 can be heard over the engine.

my brother is running the raptor 150, its quiet, my fass is loud, but when the motors running, you cant hear the pump unless your in the bed. raptors are good, if you dont mind spending a couple extra bucks, go with the filters(airdog system) or the FASS system, both are good, or since your factory pump is good yet, go with a belt driven MITUSA pump, it uses the factory pump just to prime the belt pump prior to starting, once its running, the belt driven pump takes care of everything else, personally ive decided to save up for a mitusa and use the FASS on my project pulling truck i just started.

The MITUSA doesn't make a sound, no brushes or electric motor to burn up and best of all the higher your RPM's go the more fuel it pumps. The directions call for an electric pump to be used in conjunction with the MITUSA and I would suggest it but in my case I've been runnin for some years now with no electric pump at all and have yet to have any problems.
