More boost
I adjusted the wastegate and gained around 5-6psi, not bad but I'm still trying to squeeze a little more from it. Do I have to take off the turbo everytime to adjust it?
I'd guess probably gets 350hp down, but I could be totally full if it.
Okay, with your HX turbo, you can spin it up a little harder, but I would not go crazy as others have noted.
You could use a simple boost elbow. Either a static type or an adjustable type. The standard elbows have a very small hole drilled in the side of the body. This acts as an air bleed REDUCING the boost signal to the wastegate actuator. Since it sees less pressure, it takes longer to open, raising manifold boost.
Do not try to adjust the rod to make more boost! Most guys usually go too far and actually restricts movement. This can result in a turbo that can't dump high drive pressures when called upon (towing trailers, up grades, ect) and this will result in turbo over speeding. Early turbo death will most likely result.
I try to keep HX turbos under 36 psi as they seem to quit making power at around 34-35 psi. After that, you're just heating the air.
If you need a boost elbow, drop me a line. But stay away from J hooks!!

I've seem to be very lucky with my Edge Comp boost elbow. I get right at 34-35 PSI (just about pin the needle but not quite).
I think if you want to do it right I would think of getting a upgrade turbo instead of pushing a turbo till it explodes...
