i have built our company drag truck for the last 2 years ,a 2001 vp 24v, an we did the same thing,2004 3rd gen head ported ,polished,fire ring an we cut the intake an then tapped 12 holes for custom intake to feed our nitrous to each port equally.but it takes alot of time and patience the head alone we put 6 grand into but the good part is its like no other.the cross over tubes had to be bored out an custom fuel lines from industrial to feed the injectors that ddp built for us.but we are having trouble with turbos an waste gates,so we went to columbus diesel. it is a pain in the *** an a little more money ,but it runs cooler egts,an out of all the motors i built it is the most quiet motor i have ever been around.so if you are looking for big power in a vp44 do it an ill send you pics what it looks like.

Default 06 head to 01 5.9

Hello, I need your help to tell me what i would need to put a 06 head on a 01 bottom. My 06 engine needs repairs so I've decided to swap in the 01 we had on hand. The engine harness is different between the two so the heads will need to be swapped.
