If I was smart enough to put pictures on the web I could show you a bunch. I have twins on my work truck and just put a he351 over a ht60 on my regular cab twd shortbed. I've built several sets so it's pretty easy for me, I also have a complete engine on an engine stand to build off of which helps alot.

I'm a cheap *** and buy used big turbos when I run into them. The hot pipe is the main thing that has to be right, after that everything builds off of the position it sets the big turbo at.

On these earlier models they only have one drain. I usually build a plate with a pipe in it to bolt to the side of the pan. Go on a sight like source auto, they should have alot of pictures of hot pipes and misc. stuff.

If you ever ride in a truck with twins you would like them. They may not make more power than a big single but do spool quicker and tow great. I gross from 24 to 3500 with my 01 with no exhaust temp problems.

Yep, the stock 96 auto injectors have an orifice of .0095
The MANUAL 96 trucks have .0105 orifice

So they do make less power and torque.
Although you pick up some of that lost power by switching back to a manual.
A small amount of lost due to parasitic loss.

When you get injectors don't go too large or your fuel economy will tank.
Talk to someone who specializes in diesel injection and tell them what you REASONABLY expect.
Don't install huge injectors and keep the stock turbo, that is kind of what these guys are implying. I would go one step up on the injectors and put a turbo on it that suites your needs.

Im not building a hotrod - Im not looking for 10000000HP - However, anyone who has cruised around in a 160hp cummins for more than a day will remember how awful they are. Mine WAS a work truck, so it was kept stock to keep economy up and problems to a min.

I dont have that liability anymore, so I think it's about time that I had enough HP to make the truck fun to drive.

gwhammy- what did you mean by "racked the barrels" when you said it in this..

Gauges first, I didn't but never claimed to be smart and I don't tow with this truck.
studs first, then work over the afc for max fuel and put a mack rack plug in if it's not a 913 pump. Timing would be next, I did this when the kdp was fixed. I racked the barrels,some will argue for or against this but it's a nice 30 to 50 horse gain. On the turbo, I build my own twin setups,just hard to beat for cheap air. After this is all done then go with injectors, with care to not go to big if towing.
