Default 4k gsk install only pulls to 2500 rpm

I just installed the 4 k gsk kit and set the spring hight to around 0.049 and took it for a test drive but it only pulls to around 2500/2800 rpm should I try tighting the springs any more or could I be out of fuel ? I have no fuel plate with the afc modded and the star wheel cranked up a little plus a 4 " exhaust

Any thoughts ?

you can also take one of the stock shimms and use it on your new 4k seats to make the medium spring a bit taller that will get you a few more r's aswell

Nice I will try the clicks first because I could thru the top of the afc this way is a lot quicker then pulling every thing back off. But thats some good info so if the clicks don't work I will add a shim to the middle spring

Thanks turbo2332 your a big help

Yup ended up going four clicks which I think is one click to much because it won't start without giving it a little push on the pedal but it's like a whole new truck for sure it hits full boost so much quicker without even pushing it that hard. It still only goes about 2800 rpm at best so I guess it's a good thing I went with the 4k instead of 3k ?

If starting is the issue, you can try bumping up your idle speed a little. But be careful, if you have the springs down too tight and the idle set too high, the RPM's will get stuck when you rev it, so go small increments, and have a way to block off the turbo (restricting airflow) to get the speed back down if it does hang. My idle is set the highest it can go, to where I just barely have engine braking when warm.

I tried raising the idle but it's to high by the time it will start on its own so that's why I'm thinking I need to take 1 click out and see if that will solve the starting problem. It started fine but was not revving over 2400 rpm so I did 2 clicks to get it to 2800 rpm but know it won't start on its own so I'm thinking it needs 1 click out. It feels likes whole new truck where it is know even though it only revs to 2800 rpm it spools so fast now just from the gsk kit and my egt are sky rocketing so that will be my next problem.

It should pull all the way to 4k. What brand springs are you using?

You should get at least 3400 out of it. Taking clicks out will help the having to push throttle in to start but, it will have a negative effect on rpms. Sounds like you need to get some shims and tinker a lil bit or pull the pump and send it to a good pump shop and they can set the gov rpm where ever you want it and itll start up like it did with a stock pump.
