TC lock up switch?
It won't release the clutch for an upshift all by itself. To drive a magic button it's accelerate in 1st, auto-shift to 2nd/lift foot, hit lock, foot back down for 2nd-gear accel, unlock/lift foot/hit 3rd/ lock again, accelerate some more, lift foot/unlock/hit o/d button, re-lock and then foot back down.
Essentially, you use your button finger as if it were your left leg.
If it will upshift at all jumping from lock to lock, it'll be harsh as hell, and get really expensive and embarrassing and annoying.

Yup. You are never going to out shift an auto trans. NV4500s do NOT like being speed shifted... Trust me i know from experience
it will upshift with the TC locked. mine locks in second. have made atleast 20 to 30 passes in the 1/4 with it locked off the line. i launch with it locked but it wont lock till 2nd. i let the trans shift with it lock and have never broke anything.... but its just a matter if time
my .02 is that a TC switch is a fast/easy way to look cool till the tranny gives up. do you shift an NV4500 at full throttle without first pushing in the clutch? your jamming parts that shouldnt be jammed like that. they are nice for engine braking and if you want to stay in passing gear on the interstate. other than that focus on saving for a good tranny build
