12v Fuel Plate
Hello
i have a 98 12v and i am looking at replacing the stock fuel plate in it, there is nothing done to the tranny ( that i know of ) but tranny feels really strong so i want to change out the fuel plate... i have gauges, stright pipe, intake and a few other small things..so if i could get some input of a good plate to put in with the truck still having a stock tranny that i know of.
Thanks
Matt

Grind it your self it's easy. I did mine in 10 mins in my high school shop class. I just followed sOme diagrams although I don't remember where I saw them other wise I'd post them on here. Go with like a 100 an work your way down when grinding
Ditto. Or grind it to a #100. No point in going to a #0, when a #0 is FF, its the same thing as runnin no plate. But be careful if you have a stock auto.
pull the plate out along with your aneriod arm and u will suprised at the difference... but ur stock tranny wont hold long mines got 4000 n tranny work. *note* after removing the aneroid arm the star wheel trick does nothing.
This is true. I've been toying around with the idea of running one, maybe 3/4 forward, if no plate and 5x.014's tries to overpower the 62/65/12.
I read on here all the time of how well plateless is and how strong it is and usually in the same breath they are warning of trashing trannys
............well the 100 is easy on the trannys then when ya get going a bit there is full fuel posibilities
kinna the difference tween poppin the clutch from dead stop or a rolling take off

whats a fuel plate
i would agree, an auto unless well built wont hold up to too much fuel over stock... for that matter manuals dont either.... hence the reason i had to get a big clutch for my tranny

No aftermarket clutch is the reason Im keepin mine bone stock (basically) until I can throw something stronger in there. But dont worry, some good BOMBing will be goin on this summer
