Fuel Plate??

With no fuel plate i have lots of power, But no black smoke unless its bogs down. maybe my pumps getting weak.

i doubt it cus mine does the exact same thing like when it goes into OD and you start speeding up it'll start putting it out but to get the FULL smoke like they are talking about you need to do the whole afc mod which the link on the second post of this page is a very great instruction manual on how to do that too

if the afc is tunned it shouldnt smoke much unless you hammer the smoke pedal hard or work it hard

when i ran platless and had the afc tuned it would only smoke if i stomped on it from a dead stop, but with the afc gone she will smoke pretty goood whenever i give her alittle throttle

Would you guys recomend in tunning my afc. washer, grinding it star wheel adjusted? or remove my afc like on some trucks ive seen? which will benifi me and give more power?
