Just yank it out & throw it in the bushes, i did over a year ago & couldn't be happier:c:

A lot of guys are just pulling them out but personally I think you get more adjustablity with it still in. Also if its a street driven truck I would keep it in and keep down on the excessive smoke. You can move it and get a better fueling range or like what was stated above cut it down and make it into which ever kinda of plate will best suit you.

Awesome guys thanks! And how do i remove my fuel plate??? by the way thanks Dustin im going to remove it first then grind it down! but your pics are saved on my computer already, Thanks bra... what are the steps in removing the fuel plate??

big willy 08-04-2010 01:29 AM

there is 4 srews to take out
2 8mm bolts on one side and a flat head and an allen head that you might have to drill out on the other

on getting the flat head out i had to take a flat punch and beat the piss out of it to break it loose before it would turn and then you pull the housing off and then there is two more flat heads that hold the plate in take those two out pull your plate out and don't put the screws back in and then put the housing back together

Alright sounds good! im going to run it plateless to see how it reacts! thanks big Will!

sorry quick question, in removing the plate will it increase my hp? or just make it smoke every where??

toy4xchris 08-04-2010 06:47 PM

it will make some extra hp and create a ton of smoke do to the fact you will get full fuel flow at all rpm ranges your fuel plate is generally pretty much your fuel curve as you apply throttle an arm rides along the plate telling the pump how much fuel to send. With out the plate it will just bottom out pretty much and send all fuel all the time.

if your into the smoke yank the plate. i foud out that a #5 plate full forward actually is more streat freindly than a #100 full forward to much fuel to early not a choice for towing
