Default Manual trans guys...

I just got my '96 12valve a couple weeks ago & just been starting to clean her up & do regular maintainece. I'm planning on doing the KDP, 4" exhaust w/ no muffler, open the fuel plate & haven't figured out exactly to do with the intake yet. My question is, how strong is my trans & will it hold up to what I plan on doing? What mods, if any have you guys done?

5th gear nut needs to be fixed, only other thing you should need is the 1 3/8" input shaft ( this willl require a clutch upgrade), thats all I have done to my nv4500 and it has held 585 rwhp for over a year on the track.

Cool, thanks for the info. My truck will mostly be towing my mustang to the track a few times a year & that's about it. Maybe some snowmobiles.

My clutch held up with no plate and extra boost, but the 215 sticks pushed it over the edge. Now I'm at 280 hp 920 ft lbs and all I've done is a con ofe southbend.

I have my stock clutch sitting on the floor of the shop, it did hold my silver bullet and marine injectors for a while tho.
