I've been wanting to convert my 03 ram 3500 4x4 into a manual for the longest and was wondering how much of a headache would it be also what all parts do I need to do the swap and cost

 

I was just thinking about that today. 6 months ago I had my '04 auto trans completely overhauled and it was $2500. I pull my gooseneck a lot averaging 5k-20k lbs. and it is hard on that tranny. Upside is I have the 4.10 gears.

 

I had mines rebuilt to and it costed my right at 3500 and on top of that i got screwed over by the owner of the shop (he was driving my truck around the back of the shop and cut it to close to the building and cracked fender well and didnt tell me and used all stock parts when i paid him for performance parts) and im not satisfied with the auto and i havr the 4:10 gears too

 

Other then gathering all the parts needed to do the full conversion you will need to run an PCM that came out of the same year truck that has a Manual transmission this will allow you to not have any codes throw for the trucks PCM looking for the Auto trans.
