Intake Plate
You can keep the grid heater with the twin ram intake. You just won't have a grid heater on the back, but that isnt a problem. And you'll be fine in T or C without a grid heater. My 97 has the grid heater delete and it starts right up up here in Los Lunas.
i have a grid heater in each of my places on my truck..... banks sells them that way.... just take one grid outta the front and put it in the back..... thats how mine is..... i love it....
Looks like the twin ram is a good option, but I'm not sure it's worth $600 for my engine. Do you have to re-route the fuel lines to install it? That would be a real pain.
I may just rotate the stock plate and see how it works. If that causes fuel line issues, I'll probably try to make some kind of twin ram later on when I have more time. I'm thinking an intake plate with cooling fins and a polished Y tube feeding it would look cooler than the Banks setup too!!!

Tunnel Ram is not yet available for 2nd gen 12v. Hope to have them by mid summer.
Pricing will be similar to the Tunnel Ram for 24v

Yeah, I did turn it around but it will be a few more weeks before the truck is back on the street, then it's going out for a trans (I'm rebuilding the entire truck). It will be at least a month before I can put it to the test and see how it works.
I bought a block of aluminum to mill out my own tunnel ram, but if jkidd has them ready first, I would probably buy one of his, as long as it's designed to improve flow around that obstruction inside.

haha ya we don't have anything to make a tunnel ram here at the college plus i've never really worked with anything like that.

I'm going to turn mine around in here about an hour going to see what it does.

Turning it around is actually a lot of work. The stock elbow doesn't work and the injector lines have to be re-routed. I have an intake elbow out of 3" aluminum tubing that will work, but I haven't installed the pump or injector lines yet. The lines might be too much work, it may be easier to make that tunel ram.
