how is your afc set up? check for boost leaks?

and as long as the elbow is before the wastegate you will be fine

 

I just get a dynomax 4" dp from advanced and coupled it with 4" straight and a tip I made it lowered my egts from over 1300* when I romp to not even able to get above 1100* now. Thats with a stock airbox and a newish napa filter too. So am really in no rush to get an intake because I am not running that hot at all. One question I dont think anyone asked though that might help us is how much smoke is your truck blowing?
