Default star wheel adjustment

hey everyone first time cummins owner here, my truck is stock and is a little sluggish. ive read alot on fuel plates and what they can do to a stock tranny, but im not ready to dump a bunch of money into tranny upgrades at this time. i was wondering if there is much advantage to adjusting the star wheel. also will it do any harm to the tranny or egt's????

ok thanks ill give it a try, i forgot to mention that my sig does have a fresh rebuilt auto tranny with a shift kit. i just dont know how far to push it, i use my truck as a daily driver and virtually never tow. so hopefully it will be a safe mod. also would i benefit from a boost elbow at this point? thanks in advance

yeah the bost elbow will help or you can take a 1/4 inch hose clamp and put on the hose to help close the hose up some thats what i did to mine builds little more boost....be sure to get an aftermarket air filter to help compensate for the added fuel.....do all this and you will be good to go

could one of you please explain how to adjust the star wheel a little better, like is there any tricks, i have heard that you have to have a 2x4 to block of your tubo cause it will start free reving if you dont stall it out by pluging up the turbo to choke the engine out, thanks
