I was at De Leon Im not 100% sure that was a run away on fuel. I do know it was a 13MM II pump. The RPMs didnt go through the roof like you would assum a stuck rack would do. I think it was more that the engine was running off oil. Theres always a chance of sticking a rack on a P pump. However the only real chance of a runaway is from trash in the barrels from bad fuel or dirt from a DV change....

As for the 0 at FF and no plate. In almost every pump when a zero is at FF the rack will travel under plate.

A run away can be caused by the truck running on oil and if my memory serves me correctly the oil source would be from the turbo seals thru the intake.

Yeah Jamie and I were talking about this tonight. The truck in question only sounded like it was pushing 3500 rpm or so. I t was also poping and shooting a small flame after the pop. Not sure what it was yet but I hope to find out.

some 0 plates are cut deeper than others, a true 0 FF is the same as no plate at all

so when u say a rack will travel under the plate doese that mean it always travels under ther and there is nothin to worry bout?or do you mean it might travel

its not supposed to go "under" the plate... the purpose of it is for the governor linkage to ride on it, not miss and go under. just means it needs an adjustment... so i understand atleast

ok well i have this trick billit piece that replaces the afc housing and does away with the plate completely wondering if theres any dangers in it.
