Default Ground my plate to a #100

Just ground the fuel plate to a 100. I've got 80hp inj. The shop I bought them from said they're the biggest bosch makes. I'm seein 40 psi boost, and 1100 deg. would ya'll do next? I've got plans to put 4in exaust on it. but that's a different thread. I'm on a tight budget so i'm pretty much limited to free mods. o and it's a 5 spd.

Make sure your plate and AFC Housing are full forward and I thought the PVC Intake was a gem... and real affordable. Really opens it up and sounds great.

Grind the foot of the AFC arm, and switch the washers around the diaphragm inside the AFC as well. You can also shim your gov springs with a standard 3/8" washer with the center drilled out to 1/2". This will essentially give you a 3k gsk. Other cheap mods include timing the pump and if you aren't running a 215 pump, a 2095 rack plug. If you have a 215 pump, the plug won't do you any good so don't spend the money.

Since you said 5-sp. and if it's the truck under "my diesel", it does have a 215. Don't do the 2095, like sstockton said. What he's essentially getting you to is max rack travel. I think it's 20.5mm if I'm not mistaken. When you have the money, definetly get a GSK. They will wake the truck up significantly and let you use the mods you currently have, if you don't have the springs already. As usual, make sure the dowel pin is tabbed. I would get a 4" exhaust, too. You should see a slight drop in EGTs by doing so, assuming the stock stuff is on there now.

While each person has his/her own tricks, I don't like the washer idea. Seeing as how the governor is a weighted assembly, I tend to shy away from washers. The springs aren't extremely high in price. Again, my own personal opinion.

Ya I need to update my sig.. I'm gonna try to build a 4" ex. I'd do the gsk, bet don't wanna screw up the pump.. I've read -I THINK- all the threads about how to do it and I'm still not 100% clear on how to do it.. I do have egt and boost guage pack to. I don't wanna dump much more pre-boost fuel to it tho.. afc and star wheel full forward. I think I need to rig a 4" exhaust for it and it'll help alot. the factory 3" is bent and beat up pretty bad and i think alot of restriction there.. And through all the reading I think i'll save up for a gsk kit instead of shiming.
