Back the plate up and it will cool down some.

Congrats man push it back a little to cool it down. Or take your foot out of it. Have you tweaked your afc?

should i adjust my plate or can i just turn the star wheel a little so i dont have to take the afc housing off again?

 

Where is your star wheel at? Is your plate at full forward?

 

no my plates at the stock posistion.
it came with a guide thing so your plate installs in the exact posisition as the stock one.
i dont think the star wheel was adjusted but it might have because it smoked when i got it with no upgrades.

 

Ive got a 100 plate and I dont run anywhere near that hot. Stock HX turbo as well.

 

it olny runs that hotwhen i got the pedal to the floor for over like 15 seconds.
its not anything to worry about i think because when im doing normal driving it never gets hotter than 800 im sure.
olny when im towing a heavy load or showing them powerstrokes were i stand on the power chart.
