If you don't have a decent cold chisel to hold with a pair of vice grips while you smash on it, take a small torqs head bit and smash that down right on top of the screw so that it takes a "bite" into the screw and turn it right out, if its tight, keep hitting the top of it while you turn it, the vibrations will help loosen it.

The cold chisel method does take a couple good whacks with a BFH to break it off, so don't swing like a little girl (this is where the vicegrips come in so you don't smash your hands.

i tried the torx method, and i smash them in the top of the screw and they just turn and dont turn the screw im guna put soem penetrating oil on the the bolt over night.
my dad said we could drill a hole in it. tap it with a left handed thread tap so when you srew the bolt in there there it will lock up and turn the whole thing out. but i dont have a left handed tap and he said there pry not cheap. any more suggestions?

if the bit just turns, try a larger size or drill it out a little bit to help instead of buying a left handed tap... Always try to use what you have unless you have no other option.

If you do have a decent chisel, or something you can shove in there and pound on, around I would take that method, a good smash with a BFH always works!

At this point "cheap" doesnt even factor into it. You need to get that out whatever way will work. Can you take a hacksaw, cut a slot into the bolt head and use youre biggest flathead screwdriver to turn it out? And BigDiesel's right, if you tap and turn - it should come. Its got to come out one way or another.

I wouldn't heat it personally, is there not a little seal in the pump that the AFC housing sits on?

Thats right...my bad. Heat probably isnt the best thing to do. I was just thinking about broken bolts in general.

No worries, a little heat works wonders in the right situation...Just gotta make sure you don't melt/blow up anything in the process
