Whew!!! You had me going there for a bit. I thought " Is there something Im missing???" I actually started to doubt my cp3, after I went out to look at it. Thats pretty funny.....you got me!
So Im assuming this will be easier, and less expensive?
500-550 whp is cool...... I can deal with that. I'll definately have to do some trans work to handle it. Currently Im at 357 hp/ 742 lbft tq.. With water/meth in the mix, it goes up to 398hp/ 817 lbft tq. (Dyno day at Snow Ford in Fontana, CA. a few yrs back) Im assuming things havent changed since then. Ive been told that my 48re trans wouldnt be able to handle tq over 700 lbft. Its stock and its handled it fine for going on 4 years. Its my baby so I dont abuse it. Will my 4" exhaust handle it or will i have to go to 5"? I really dont want to change my exhaust again.......

like turbo said running a hx60 as a single is more about airflow and rpm not so much the amount of fuel that it takes you just run as much fuel as you have airflow for and by airflow i mean thru the engine not just a boost number because you can make 1000hp on 30psi at the same time another guy is making 500hp at 60psi what counts is what gets into the cylinder not what is backed up in the manifold creating pressure.

Damn, thats some SERIOUS reciprocating weight changing directions that fast, inside the engine!! I was not aware they could spin that high. I was always in the mindset that diesels were lower RPM/ high Torque engines, and because of the weight of the internal components, they were not capable of real high revs.
A friend of mine asked me if high performance diesel engines could rev as high as HP gassers, and I said "There's no way". I will certainly have to correct that.
