i would stay away from using it in the fuel my brothers blew apart his rail from seafoam (according to dealership). it absorbs water then when the sea foam hits the rail and gets pressed to 25000psi if forces water back out and over pressured the rail or in can go into the cylinder and steam it. I only know of my brothers but I will not run it in the fuel because of that. I do use it in my oil around 500 miles before oil change and in my trx450r

dont your brother have a water seperator on his truck i can see where water would definetly blow the rail ...seafoam will loosen any rust in the tank caused by water and send it through the filter ....good filtering is essential on the diesel engines

yes he does, but the propeties of seafoam is that it absorbs the water, but under the extreme pressures in the rail at 28,000 psi, it forces the water back out and creates steam, thus blowing up the fuel rail. That was our and the mechanics theory, so on old school diesels like 12v and vp 24v yes, common rail trucks I would stay away. its just my opinion though.
