What Exactly Does This Do??????

My dealership didn't try and charge me with the deductible. And I was right at my limit at 98,000 when mine went out. Of course, they didn't inspire too much confidence in me when the service tech was writing up the order and one of their mechanics came and asked what was wrong. I told him that the lift pump went out. He asked how I knew. Told him that it pulled a P0230 (Transfer pump (lift pump) circuit out of range). He asked how I knew this. I told him (with hand motions turning key) on-off-on-off-on and read the codes on the odometer. He pointed to the engine and said 'you don't want that to be out, it's expensive.' Looked where he was pointing and replied 'your right, that's the CP3 injection pump, luckily for me it's the lift pump back here.' Not very awe inspiring. So, I have the in tank pump now and have had no issues. Next time it will be a Walbro or FASS.

I know that our trucks will run without the in tank pump workign but it will shorten the life of the CP3. If I was you I would go ahead and order the Air Dog and when you get your truck back put it on there. Also, I would go to the dealership and have them point out the part that is bad to you, if they are so sure it is bad they should be able to point it out to you so you can know what actually is bad.
He could also get a GDP Walbro system, a GDP Raptor system, a Fuel Boss system, a RASP system, or a FASS system in addition to the AD.

I did not know that!! And that is said in my best Johnny Carson voice!!!! I've been running my GDP Walbro now for over 2.5 years now with not one problem!!! Maybe it's because I put about 16oz. of 2 stroke oil in every tank!!! Thanks for the info though!!!
