I Love my 01 but I'm getting the itch for a six speed third gen. I have been reading about nv5600 vs g56 trying to decide which years i want to target or if i should even worry about which one i get. From what ive found 5600s are stronger but more expensive is something should let loose. Everyone points out that the g56 can flex and is weaker due to its aluminum housing. Basically since a I never pull anything more than a bass boat (and friends and family out of snow) and only plan on building for 500-600 horse max will the g56 be okay? This truck will be my DD Im not a maniac but here and there i like to put the hammer down.

 

Yeah you'll be fine with the G56! Case flex is an issue over 800hp so your good!

 

Oh thats it, just 800? lmao Thanks for the info dangerous!! I dont think I'll make quite that much. The truck I found already has a 64mm turbo, 100hp injectors, dual disc clutch, and its studded. im in love just gotta buy a programmer.

06 so EFI live here I come. Have a Friend that works at a diesel shop and the guys around him are REALLY good at what they do, so could probably get a few pointers from him on tuning. I cant wait to tune it mostly myself, I have read and researched pretty much everything i can find about tuning but never actually done it haha
