Drive pressure and boost:exhaust pressure ratio is new to me.
Most guys seem to try to achieve 1:1...anybody know why or have any experience with it?

They reason why is, you want to be able to exhaust out the same pressure you are pushing in. if you overdrive the turbo and push in more then the exhaust side can relive you get drive pressures out of whack and then the heat goes out of control. the pressure has to go some were and it usually finds its way out a head gasket. so in theory if you drive in 50psi you should exhaust out 50 psi

Thanks John,
While we're iffin'...is there anything damaged if the boost doesn't exceed the exhaust pressure?
