Wanting to swap auto for a manual. have a question.

I would but I have looked into this. The built auto price, is the same if not more than I can get a whole manual truck to swap with. If I found a NV4500 truck I would swap to a 5 spd. I'm trying to get all the info I can so when I start actually looking I'm not going blind.

Yes, I know they're far and few between its just the fact for me , an Auto just doesn't give me the confidence in my truck I want to have. The thought of burning my trans out is constantly in the back of my mind when towing or getting on it.
I'm almost considering selling my truck and look for a manual truck, but I wouldn't be able to find one with the same options my truck has nor been taking care of like mine has been.I'm the 2nd owner, and PO gave me a thick file of all the paper work done to the truck while he owned it.
I wish Dodge when they designed these trucks, would have put a better auto in them from the get go.
