My 1999 2500 is a auto. Eventually probably over the next 6 months I'm going to start collecting everything to do the swap. Has anyone done the swap or knows exactly what parts to get, mainly I need to know am I going to need a ECM from a manual or have mine reprogrammed?

 

Do you have 2 or 4wd. If a 2wd you will need a manual drive shaft. You need pedals. You will have to wire in the reverse lights as well as the neutral safety switch. Overall it's not a hard swap. Just make sure you have all the tools and help you can get. If you have access to a lift life will be easier. I did mine with the wheels barely off the ground. It was the best situation I had available. Take your time and all will go well. What clutch are you going with?
