Default Blown head gasket?

I think I might have a blown head. When I run my defroster on hot it fogs up the windows and has a smell smell of coolent. There is no trace of coolent in the in the oil but I'm loosing coolent some were. Can anyone shed some light on my problem.

I think I would look at your heater core before the head gasket. Sweet smell inside cab and moisture inside windshield sounds like a leaking heater core. Have you noticed any antifreeze on the cab floor?

I haven't noticed any coolent on the floor. And what am I looking for with the heater core will I have to replace it. Thanks guys.

Yes, more than likely it will need to be replaced. Good size job, not difficult just time consuming. You will have to remove the dash to get that bugger out of there and replace it.

Yepp what they said it will make a huge difference the next time you crank up the heater.

Don't worry it will start pouring out soon ... I have tried waiting till it gets warmer and it always waits till the coldest day right when it starts snowing than coolant will run down your floor board.
