Never had this problem with mine. Only thing is after parking over night with the brake on it sometimes just pops loose if it doesn't release when the lever is pulled

 

Do U have a brake light on like mine?
The stupid book from Haynes says the proportioning valve is out of balance with this condition. I will try the rear adjusters as Russ Roth suggests and see if that helps.

no mine does not have any brake lights/code on. It just likes to lock up on me. Last night I was driving it and it was fine all I did was go in a drive thru an while I ordered my meal it started its locking up thing on me.

 

ive got a 2002 with 4 disc and mine was doing the same problem, i ended up replacing the calipers and its fine now.

 

Is your truck a dually? Does it lock up on blacktop? Mine will only lock in the dirt and only when first couple of stops.

 

Mine does it after being parked overnight at the first stop and thats it.
