dead pedal question

Default dead pedal question

ok i know there are lots of dead pedal threads out there but i have a specific questions.

Why do i usually only have dead pedal in 4th and 5th gear?

yes im talking manual. I can have full throttle 1st-3rd but when i drop into 4th and 5th it will dead pedal sometimes. it seems to usually happen when rpms drop

It may be in connection with RPM, but in no connection to the transmission it's self. If anything I would verify the sensor operation with a volt meter, verify the wiring to the ECM, and then look at verifying the pump is operating correctly. I dont really feel it has any association with the trans.

thats kinda what was thinking that its the drop in rpms. the apps is brand new timbo unit i put on yesterday and it still dead pedals and it seems the really do it when its the ambient temp is cooler.

might check the lift pump my dads went bad and the injector pump couldnt do it all and one day it would run fine and the next kinda what your talkin about just a thought if u hadnt checked it

because the dead pedal is your vp44, and temperature makes it lose conection on circut board. if you dont belive me put a piece of cardboard in front of radiator, and see what happens. You have to bite the bullet and buy new pump!

put a fuel preashure gauge on and drive it.
