I'm in need of some advice. My 01 24v Cummins 6spd manual died on me goin down the highway. After a minute of cranking it over it started but idled just under 300 rpms which causes a terrible loping idle. I also have a dead pedal, however while releasing the clutch in gear the rpms build up like theyr supposed to. Then when its completely disengaged right back to the rough idle and dying. Any help is greatly appriciated.

 

Check your apps and also check for codes. Any mods on the truck?

 

How do I check apps? All iv got on it is FASS lift pump and Edge prpgrammer .and codes are p1689 and 1693

 

one code is from instrument cluster saying use scanner, and the others from the scanner saying no communication between ecm and VP.
