My truck is a 2001 6 speed manuel and just recently put the edge comp box on it and the truck went hay wire... Dead pedal loping like a duramax or powerstroke would....and white and blue smoke everywhere.... ive checked connections for the data link and the map and have unplugged the wire that is tapped into the vp44.....PLEASE HELP!!

 

Does it go back to normal if you unplug the box? Could be a bad program. Did you buy the box new or used?

 

Yes the box is nee and it still does it but not quite as bad. I talked to a guy that owns a local diesel shop he in his opinion i mightve screwed the wires up on the back of the IP in which they go to the APPS he said he is going to look into it today

 

did you remember what the diesel shop told you? I’m having the same problem with my comp box and can’t figure out what’s going on. Don’t know if it’s the box or if it’s my wire tap
