Hey guys, my 99 dodge's automatic trans is haveing some issues. It is starting off in second gear, and will not go into 4th gear overdrive, but I can get it to go in 1st manualy putting the selector in 1st. 2nd/3rd are good, and the it does not slip seems real tight. Any ideas to what's going on?

maybe the governor pressure switch and or sensor or a shift solenoid in the transmission

 

sounds like transducer in your tranny. had mine replaced and valve body cleaned at dealership about 2 years ago. cost me about 500$ at the stealership.

 

When was the last time you replaced you trans. filter.

 

im having the same problem with my trans. My tranismission is freshly rebuild. i was doing alil research and i found an add talking about shift bands and them needing adjustment i have yet to try but when i do ill let ya guys know
