I just traded my 03 Hemi 4x4 Quad cab for a 2001 Cummins 4x4 quad cab...Yea, I should have bought a Cummins in the first place. My question is that I just bought it last night and it didn't come with any key fobs. I just got off the phone with the stealership and they informed me it would be $79 for ONE. I know I can buy these things all day long off eBay, but how do I figure out which one I need? Can you guys help me figure out which fob I need so I can get myself a key fob?

IF the one from the Stealership comes with FREE programming DO IT! I bought one for 20$ off ebay. The ONLY WAY to program a 2nd gen is with a DODGE programmer!! I asked the dealer how much to program it they told me 80$!! Straight up BS!!

 

if you had one you could do it your self i have a box full of them there are 3 different ones though. A AB AC thats the end code on the numbers on the fob. but with out one to start the program you will have to have the dealership program the first one. go to the deal find out which one you need and buy a used one and have them program one of them, and buy spares and i can send you the process sheet on programing the others. i have 5 programmed to my 99 in case i cant find one or loose one i have plenty.

 

You could also buy an alarm system
