Question What could this noise be?

After i run the truck, i let it idle before shut down (cool the egt's) i shut it off and anywhere from 20 seconds to about 40 seconds later i hear a loud "TING" under the hood.. this has been happening for quite a while.. however just yesterday i was standing by my RR tire and heard the noise again.. could have sworn i heard it from up front as well as in the exhaust pipe..?? any ideas?

I would imagine it would have to be something exhaust and heat related. Maybe pop the hood next time, and have a listen with the hood open.

It is the exhaust manifold and turbo cooling down faster than the motor. Mine does it all the time. but really worse on cold days after I have hauled something.
