hey thanks for all the input guys hopefully that gov. pressure sensor and solenoid will fix my problems....and thanks kazairl...i considered doing the same things myself but figured i'd go ahead and do a whole vb and be done with it...do you think it's worth the extra $ because really by the time someone charges you labor for the shiftkit and installing the other few parts it'd be about the same price as a new VB and I could install it myself

You could install a shift kit yourself too. Like I said, mostly it is installing different springs and drilling a couple holes a little bigger. The Transgo comes with some pretty good instructions. I've never used the DTT shift kit but I know their customer service is excellent. If you have any questions about what your doing then I know they will help you out.

Now, I don't think a shift kit will be as good as a valve body. There are probably a few tricks they put into a valve body that are too complicated to include as a DIY kit. But with a price difference of $3-400 it is up to you. At the power level you are thinking of running, I doubt it will make much of a difference. One of the things an aftermarket VB will do is circulate the fluid in neutral which can be useful in certain instances. I don't think a shift kit will allow that though.

Alright thanks alot man...I'm probably just gonna do the shift kit and try it out and see with that little of hp I don't think it will matter that much either but I'm gonna do a DTT single disc as well and upgrade the servo cover and accumulator and Band strut and anchor too

I plan on running 5-600hp on my shift kit. I'm no trans expert but I trust the one who built mine!! Talk to a trans builder.. I personally don't like dtt but I know they are helpfull to talk to..especially if they think your buying something from them!!!

To change the gov. pressure sensor and solenoid do you have to drop the vb all the way out? I heard you can drop the pan and change it without dropping the vb... I haven't had time to look at it yet and just wondering because if i need to drop the vb i need to make a tool to get the eclip out of the park rod

No you don't have to drop the VB to change the Gov. pressure sensor and solenoid.

After you get the pan off it will become clear, its really easy to get to, the worse part is getting it unplugged all covered in ATF.
