Default TPS died again

The TPS on my 99 went out about 6 months ago and has now died again. Has anyone experienced this issue? I am concerned there is an electrical issue.

Start by checking the ground on the batteries and the ground from the TPS(APPS).

Geno's garage in GA. However someone smarter than me reminded me that I needed to reset the APPPS after disconnecting the batteries. I am back in business. I think there is something going on with the alternator causing an electrical surge.

APPS (Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor ) or TPS (throttle positions sensor). to reset disconnect batteries for about 30 min. reconnect batteries, turn ignition switch to on, do not start. depress the accelerator pedal to the floor slowly and release slowly. Fire it up
