Default 95 12 valve died, now no start

Went to start truck this morning, about 25*F, cycled grid a few times, started up ran rough for a sec then cleared up. Was running fine for bout 3 minutes, then it started stuttering and died, now it wont start. Got it to run for a couple seconds with foot on throttle but then it just dies. primed lift pump a whole bunch and still nothing new. Lift pump bad? IP bad? And fuel filter was changed within the last 2 months.

depending on your location it could be gelled fuel maybe?

check and make sure the fuel shutoff solenoid is in the up position when cranking, if it isn't that is your problem. should be down to shut the truck off, up to make truck run. if it won't stay up look for the light blue wire going to the battery and there is a fusible link that burns out when the solenoid goes bad. you can wire tie it up for the time being to get you from point A to point B....

next would be to check the overflow valve to make sure it isn't stuck open allowing the fuel to just pump straight through the pump and go back to the tank.....

Fuel Shut off is working like it should. When I prime the pump I can hear a whining noise at the OFV, not sure if that makes a difference.

Sounds very much like your fuel has gelled up. It will never start or run if thats the case.

i had one do this last year. the fuel had gelled. pull the fuel filter out and if i remember right the fuel line below the lift pump and blow the fuel line back into the tank. get a bottle of diesel 911 and put in the tank. replace with a new filter and try to prime again. It worked for me. then keep some additive in the tank to keep it from gelling.I always keep additive in the fuel but I had ran out last year and it went from 50 to 10 degrees in just a few hours. Lesson learned.
