Default Weird transmission

ok i have put other post up here about this and still no help. ok when i cut my truck off and start it i normally have to go to 2000 2200 rpm to get it out of 1st but i ran my tank a little low the other day and when i went to get it out of 1st it took forever like 2 min which is a long time when your going down the road and cars are behind you and you can go over 20. i hit the rev limiter and everything i thought it wasnt going to shift i went to the fuel station and got some started it up and it shifted like it normally does 2000 rpm which still suck but better than it does on low fuel NOW why is it that when i am almost out of fuel it wont shift out of 1st barly could it have something to do with electronics like a wire to the trans?

Sounds to me like a governer solenoid or pressure transducer problem.

Any codes?

My truck did the same ****, parts cost about 100 bucks, and it took about a hour to put them in.

Here a site for a solenoid kit.http://www.electricaladvantage.net/a...kit96to99.aspx Easy to replace them all ,adjust the bands...
This kit is frequent to fail after 65,000 miles +
a strong suggestion for replacement during rebuild , or during a Transmission Service.

thanks and how do i fix my speedo it jumps around when i go over 45. if im going 55 it with move up and down from 55 to 35 so i cant really tell how fast im going

It could be the speed sensor in the tranny, if it is, no biggy. Takes 10 minutes to put one in.
