I had the same problem with my 99 too. I replaced the sending unit and still got nothing then I started to panic. I hooked up an old mechanical gauge I had in my tool box and got 55 PSI. I still haven't figured out the problem but I'm thinking on going with an aftermarket electrical gauge. Only problem now is how to deal with the red "check gauges" warning light.
