Default Why boost cqap at 28 psi

Ok I got a buddys Dodge here w new VP44, Fass 150 150, Gillette stage 2 turbo, (whaterver that is I dont remember) set to open W/G @ 40 PSI, QZ adrenaline 1000, AFR stage 2 air filter setup and this sucka wont go past 28 - 30 psi boost makes lots of smoke if u floor it from a stop light and cleans up as turbo comes on EGTS @ 1350 Adren set from 4 to 10 make same egts w the 1018? tune i think. Oh hes got a Magnaflow 4" turbo back. It towes like *** And with the dyno4000 tune it runs out of fuel and dies completely around 3k rpm and wont restart unless you pinch off the return for the fass and crank for a few min. Ive repl the fuel filters and ran a fuel pres guage from service poort w the lesser tune and caught it ONCE at 5 or 6 psi flooed from a rolling start and that time it made 32 psi.
Ill see what ya got for this then Il ask about it surging in and out of Lockup w a clean TPS sweep
Thanks Fellas

With the fass, it should keep up with the fueling demand. But with a bigger turbo, it's normal for lag.

You should alot more than 5 or 6 psi of fuel pressure.

Yea I figured with the fass it sh9uld keep up w any demands this thing has.
It only dropped to around that number once. I barely caught it wile driving so Im not absolutly sure i saw 6 psi all I know is it dipped pretty low and never did it again.
But why wont the Adren fuel it to 40 psi boost? what else do we need to do?
Why no EFI live for this truck? =) would make life a lot better.

Is there a intercooler boot loose. What is the temp that the truck is in,outside air temp cooler air you can fit more air in to the turbo because it is condensed, hotter air is more expanded less you will fit in the turbo.Could be air in the line of the fuel pressure gauge.Mine wont hit 40 psi until the air is about 62 out and very low humidity. If I try to fuel it to 40 psi bad EGTs in hot weather if it gets that far.

Good info air temp has been between 48 to 100 deg far. so I dont feel air temp is it.
you might b right on air trapped in fp guage cause ive not seen it again, But Ive not run the dyno4000 tune since i took it out and then installed fp guage stuck to the window. Ill put a fuel to 4k tune and try again w guage
thnks

Quad doesn't offer the 4K tunes anymore because they couldn't figure out how to make the truck NOt shut off when it hit redline. Download the 3000G or the COMP3 tune and you'll be much happier. The Dyno tunes aren't meant to be driven on the street and will ALWAYS be rough.

Have you checked the settings to make sure the Quad isn't set to defuel at 30psi? If it is indeeed the 1018 tune you are running then it is set to automatically defuel at 1250 degrees EGT. If your smoke is clearing when your making your max psi than you either defueling or just can't push any more fuel. What injectors does he have?

It kind of sounds like you are running off of old tunes. Download the newest ones. They are a lot smoother and make more power.
